2026 FAIR CANCELLED

Unfortunately the 2026 CMRI Christmas Fair has been cancelled.

Following a meeting of the Wagga Wagga Branch of the Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) on 9 September 2026, it is with deep regret that we advise that the 2026 CMRI Fair will not proceed as scheduled.

For the past 38 years, the CMRI Fair has been a highly successful and valued event on the annual community calendar.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to secure sufficient stallholder participation to ensure the viability and success of the event. Rising operating costs, the closure of many small businesses, and the increasing trend towards online-only sales have all contributed to this outcome. In addition, factors such as illness, family commitments and difficulties in obtaining stock have further affected stallholder numbers.

The picturesque MTC grounds, outstanding catering, beautiful floral displays and the warm hospitality of our members, combined with the exceptional quality, diversity and friendship offered by our stallholders, have made the CMRI Fair a unique and much-loved event. The decision to cancel the fair has therefore been an extremely difficult and disappointing one.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this decision may cause. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your valued support and contribution to the CMRI Fair over the years.
